Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Gitsprout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. By using the Service you also acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended solely for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Credits & Payments

Gitsprout operates on a credit system. Credits are purchased in one-time packs — there are no recurring subscriptions. By completing a purchase you confirm that you have the legal authority to use the payment method provided and that the information supplied is accurate. Payments are processed by Stripe. Gitsprout reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders at its discretion, including where fraud is suspected.

4. Refunds

We offer refunds on unused credit packs within seven days of purchase. To request a refund, contact us at hello@talksprout.com. Credits that have already been used to generate reports are non-refundable.

5. Your Data & Tokens

To use Gitsprout you provide a personal access token (PAT) for your Git provider. This token is used only within your session to fetch commit data and is never stored on our servers. Commit data retrieved during a session is used solely to generate your report and is not retained after the session ends. You are responsible for ensuring your token has appropriate, minimal scopes as described in our documentation.

6. Generated Reports

Reports are generated by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic. Gitsprout does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any generated report. You are responsible for reviewing report content before using it in any professional context.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations, to impersonate any person or entity, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure, or to use automated tools to scrape or copy Service content. Gitsprout reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

8. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@talksprout.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

9. Intellectual Property

Gitsprout and its original content, features, and functionality are the exclusive property of Talksprout Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Talksprout Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the three months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a notice in the app.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
